The Jagiellonian University in Kraków ("UJ") is committed to respecting the privacy of users of the Neuronus Neuroscience Forum website "neuronusforum.pl", hereinafter referred to as the "Website". Therefore, UJ implements the following Privacy Policy and encourages each user of the service to familiarize themselves with it:
Personal data on the Website may be collected through the following actions:
• information provided in forms placed on the Website,
• information collected automatically when using the Website, e.g.: information recorded automatically in server and Website logs, e.g. IP address, page request sent by the user, date and time of the request, browser type, browser language, device data, operating system type
• "cookies" - small text files sent by the Website to the device of the user visiting the Website (e.g. computer, smartphone).
Information collected by automated means is used for the following purposes: administer the servers and the Website, ensure the security and protection of data on the Website, to provide the user with certain services, to adapt the Website to the needs of users, to create viewing statistics for subpages of the Website, maintaining the user session (after logging in), thanks to which the user does not have to re-enter the login and password on each sub-page of the service.
Cookies are used for the following purposes: to ensure that Website works correctly in the user's browser, making it easier for the user to use the Website and adjusting it to the user's needs, remembering individual settings and user preferences, to create Website statistics which make it possible to learn about user expectations and to develop the Website in order to facilitate access to the most frequently searched-for information (e.g. by analysing search engine queries).
Web browsers usually allow the storage of "cookies" on your device by default. The User has the possibility to configure his/her Internet browser so that the storage of cookies on his/her device is completely or partially disabled. Disabling the storage of "cookies" may result in some functions of the Website not working properly.
How to block cookies: The user can decide whether or not to store "cookies" in the browser settings. The cookie settings are set separately in each browser.

• Chrome browser: Settings > Advanced settings > Privacy > Content settings
• Internet Explorer: Tools > Internet options > Privacy (allows you to select different levels of protection) > Advanced
• Opera: Preferences > Advanced > Cookies
The following are used: plugins, buttons or other tools that allow sharing content on social networks such as: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google Maps, YouTube videos. UJ is not responsible for the privacy policies of external entities, including but not limited to sites to which it links. Users should familiarise themselves with the policies of these entities.
UJ makes every effort to protect the Website and the data it processes, including against unauthorised access by third parties. Personal data is made available only to those people and entities to whom it is necessary in order to fulfil their tasks, and it is processed only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
When processing users' personal data, UJ complies with data protection legislation, including the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data (...) ("General Regulation"), hereinafter referred to as "GDPR".
The personal data of users taken will be processed for the period necessary to fulfil the given purpose.
Personal data shall be transferred to data processors on behalf of the data controller in connection with the provision of services to UJ.
The user has the right to request: access to his/her personal data, to have his/her personal data rectified, restriction of their processing, to have the data transferred to another controller, raise an objection.
You have the right to lodge a complaint to the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection if you feel that the processing of your personal data is in violation of the provisions of the General Regulation.
The administrator of your personal data is the Jagiellonian University, with headquarters at 24 Gołębia Street, Cracow 31-007.
